Cardinals Sign David Aardsma To Add To Bullpen Mix

Still trying to finish piecing together their bullpen, the Cardinals have made a late addition to the competition by signing right-hander David Aardsma to a Minor League deal.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have signed free-agent right-handed reliever David Aardsma to a minor league contract and he will join the Cardinals Major League Spring Training camp today. Aardsma, 32, was released from his non-roster invite by the Cleveland Indians late last week after going 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in six Cactus League appearances, fanning five, while walking none, in his 6.0 innings pitched.
