Cardinals Minor League Spring Training 3-23-14: Ronald Castillo Singles, Homers, & Drives In Three Runs; Oscar Taveras & David Washington Each Single & Knock In One Run; Tommy Pham Hits A Solo Home Run

Triple-A: Memphis Beat New Orleans (Miami) 6-3

Zach Petrick (Springfield) started and pitched four innings.  He allowed six hits, one earned run, one walk, and struck four out.
Boone Whiting (Memphis) entered in the fifth and pitched 3.2 innings.  He allowed six hits, two earned run, and struck three out.
Jose Almarante (Memphis) entered in the eighth and pitched 1.1 innings.  He allowed no hits or runs, and struck three out.
Sam Freeman (Memphis) entered in the tenth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, no runs, two walks, and struck one out.
Tommy Pham (Memphis) started in centerfield.  1-for-5 with one home run, one RBI, and two runs.
Oscar Taveras (Memphis) started as designated hitter.  1-for-4 with one double, two RBIs, and one strikeout.
Patrick Wisdom (Palm Beach) started at third base.  2-for-5 with one double and one triple.
Jonathan Rodriguez (Palm Beach) started at first base.  1-for-3 with two runs and one walk.

Thomas Lee (Palm Beach) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed three hits and two earned runs.
Logan Billbrough (Palm Beach) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, no runs, and struck one out.
Adam Melker (Springfield) started as designated hitter.  2-for-4 with one RBI and one run.
Breyvic Valera (Peoria) started at third base.  2-for-2 with one run and one walk.
