The Cardinals' closed the deal on purchasing the Class AAA Memphis Redbirds today, but they couldn't start a game against their new club that evening. The exhibition tonight has been cancelled because of unrelenting rain here at AutoZone PArk. The game was called about an hour after it was scheduled to begin.
