Adam Wainwright wanted to pitch to David Ortiz, and Mike Matheny let him. That pitch, a 91-mph cutter that didn't get in on Ortiz's hands, put the Red Sox ahead en route to their Game 5 victory. It was the beginning of the end for the Cardinals.
