Lance Berkman Isn't Anticipating Return Until September 1st

Designated hitter Lance Berkman, who has been on the 15-day disabled list since July 7, said he doesn't expect to be activated until Sept. 1 when the roster is expanded. Berkman, who is dealing with inflammation in his left hip and a chronic sore right knee, said he is willing to wait that long even though he's ready to be activated now.
