Senior Justin Parr was tabbed a Louisville Slugger first-team All-American, announced Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Thursday. Parr becomes the first Illini to earn first-team All-America honors since Lars Davis (PING! Baseball) in 2007. He is the 45th postseason All-American in Illinois history and his first-team selection makes him the highest-regarded Illini by an active organization (PING! Baseball no longer names All-Americans) since Jason Anderson was named to the Collegiate Baseball second team and ABCA first team in 2000.
