Jake Westbrook Improving; John Gast Has A Strain; Extra Bases

Veteran Jake Westbrook, one of the Cardinals' four starters on the disabled list, arrived at the ballpark early Monday morning expecting to leave before noon to catch a flight to Florida for a visit with Dr. James Andrews.
