Jaime Garcia will take the pitching staff’s sting of 32 straight scoreless innings to the mound for the series finale this afternoon. The steak was preserved yesterday by Adam Wainwright, who struck out 12 in his first shutout of the season. A few additional notes on this recent pitching success:
