A night after Mitchell Boggs and Trevor Rosenthal both found some redemption, both pitchers, manager Mike Matheny said, should be available, if needed, this afternoon. Though they have each pitched on consecutive days, it helped that their pitch counts were low yesterday — Rosenthal at 11, Boggs at 12.
Matt Adams, whose sixth-inning pinch-hit home run on Tuesday swung that game in the Cardinals' favor, is in the starting lineup this afternoon as the Cardinals close out their three-game series with the Reds at Busch Stadium. First pitch is at 12:45 p.m.

David Freese was back in the lineup for the series finale against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon. It was his second game played since returning from the 15-day disabled list on Monday.
