Tyler Sibley Named Southland Conference Baseball Student-Athlete Of The Year
Texas State second baseman Tyler Sibley has been named the 2011 Southland Conference Baseball Student-Athlete of the Year as announced by the SLC office, which released its 2011 Southland Conference Baseball All-Academic Teams on Monday afternoon. Additionally, left fielder/pitcher Jeff McVaney was selected to the SLC All-Academic First Team, giving the Bobcats two players on the first team.
