Senior pitcher John Anderson pitched into the ninth inning, allowing only one earned run on seven hits and a walk, and shortstop Josh Parr drove in three runs to lift the fourth-seeded Illini over No. 3 seed Kansas State, 5-3, in an elimination game at the NCAA Tournament's Fullerton Regional on Saturday. Anderson stymied a potent Wildcat offense in his 110-pitch effort and eight of nine Illinois starters recorded a hit as the Illini advance to face the winner of the Cal State Fullerton/Stanford game at 6 p.m. CT on Sunday.
