The six-run third inning against Carlos Martinez (0-1) in the first game of two between the River Bandits and the Beloit Snappers was all that were needed. The Snappers took the first game 6-4 before the River Bandits returned the favor in the second game 6-2.
Beloit 6, Quad-Cities 4: The River Bandits surrendered six runs in the bottom of the third thanks to four hits and two walks with the bases loaded. Starter Carlos Martinez gave up five hits and three walks to go with six earned runs in his 22/3 innings of work.
