Cardinals Add Skip Schumaker& Tony Cruz To Roster; Gerald Laird Goes On DL; Mitch Boggs Optioned To Memphis; Brian Broderick Returned

The St. Louis Cardinals announced a series of roster moves prior to their game this evening in San Diego, adding infielder Skip Schumaker and catcher Tony Cruz to the 25-man active roster.
The Cardinals today optioned reliever Mitchell Boggs to Triple-A Memphis to make room for second baseman Skip Schumaker, whom the club activated from the disabled list.
The Cardinals have optioned pitcher Mitchell Boggs to Triple-A Memphis to make room for Skip Schumaker on the active roster.
