Bernie Bytes 5-23-11: Why Was Jaime Garcia Yanked?
Good debate in town Sunday afternoon and today about Tony La Russa's decision to lift starter Jaime Garcia after only 84 pitches in Sunday's 9-8, 10-inning win at Kansas City. La Russa and pitching coach Dave Duncan thought Garcia was "fighting it," and not as smooth or in sync as usual.
