Ryan Franklin Trying To Get Ahead In The Count
Cardinals closer Ryan Franklin views one of his strengths as throwing first-pitch strikes to hitters. But San Diego manager Buddy Black said Thursday, "When you get behind closers, you're in trouble. Then they start making their pitches, they mess with you and you're done. It's over. I've seen it too often."
