Lance Berkman Signing Looms Larger With Matt Holliday Out

Back when the Cardinals signed Lance Berkman as a free agent, the move seemed superfluous. After all, the Cardinals had emerging talent Jon Jay and Allen Craig ready to platoon in right field.
