Pitching Days Long Gone, Fort Pierce Native Rick Ankiel Trying To Earn An Outfield Spot With Nationals

Soon after Rick Ankiel gave up pitching in 2005, Jim Riggleman watched him take batting practice for about two days. Riggleman then walked into manager Tony La Russa's office.
