Chris Carpenter To Throw Side Session
Cardinals righthander Chris Carpenter, who suffered a strained left hamstring while pitching last Tuesday, will throw his first bullpen session since then this morning. Today was to be Carpenter's scheduled start but he is being replaced against Florida by righthanded rookie Kevin Thomas.
