In the autumn of his major-league career, righthanded pitcher Miguel Batista signed with the St. Louis Cardinals because they offered something he wasn't sure he'd ever get.
Miguel Batista has played for eight teams, worn seven different numbers, started, closed and done everything in between. The soon to be 40-year-old's career even includes two seasons with the Montreal Expos.
