Jonny said that the story that came out yesterday was taken out of context. He said he was asking other players if Wainwright was gone for the year. Jonny said he was dancing around because he got his pictures pushed back 15 minutes later. He said that he has been calling around and telling the real story. Gomes said he made a call to the Cardinals organization yesterday to tell them the real story. Jonny has great respect for Adam Wainwright both as a player and a person. Jonny said he hasn't done anything wrong so he doesn't need to apologize for something that never happened. He said he feels bad for Wainwright and would never wish anything bad on any other player in the MLB. Once you make it to the league everyone is on the same team and we are brothers. Jonny said it's good for baseball to have the rivalry back between the Cardinals and the Reds.
