Mike Matheny To Headline Illinois Hot Stove Banquet
The University of Illinois baseball team and the Fighting Illini Dugout Club will host the annual Hot Stove Banquet to kick off the 2011 season with former St. Louis Cardinals and University of Michigan catcher Mike Matheny as the keynote speaker. Matheny, a four-time Gold Glove winner, will headline the banquet, which will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, at the I Hotel with cocktails at 5 p.m., and the banquet at 6 p.m.
