Mets Can't Rule Out Entertaining Potential Deals For Jose Reyes, Though He'll Likely Remain For 2011

The Mets' new front office identifies itself as a rational group, and listening to trade offers for Jose Reyes, which sources say the team had discussed at least in a never-say-never way even before Sandy Alderson arrived, would be a rational act. But could the franchise really send its 27-year-old shortstop - the embodiment, along with David Wright, of a previous era's promise and complexity - elsewhere as it begins another phase?
