Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday both checked out fine after pregame workouts on Friday, and so both sluggers were in the Cardinals' lineup for the third-to-last game of the season.
Cardinals manager Tony La Russa, who had put off thinking about whether or not he wanted to come back next year as Cardinals manager, said today he had started to think about the matter. But he offered reporters no clue about his preference.
