The Rainiers used a four-run 11th inning to sweep the Redbirds and win their first Pacific Coast League Championship since they shared the title in 2001.
After doing the Redbirds in with an abundance of home runs for the majority of their Pacific Coast League Championship Series, the Tacoma Rainiers turned to a more conventional way of scoring in the 11th inning.
