Placido Polanco Hoping For Rest

The person who stands to benefit most from an early clinching is third baseman Placido Polanco. He said Tuesday he believes a third cortisone injection in his left arm would be valuable before the playoffs begin. But that will only be possible if he can take some days off at the end of the season.
