Felipe Lopez has been unoffcially released by the Cardinals today. Lopez has showed up to the ballpark multiple times this year. Clark says Lopez should be a star player, he has all the tools but he hasn't played to his potential. The Cards are sending a message to their younger players with this release. Clark went on to talk about how the Cardinals organization and fan base is great and they don't need to worry because the Cards will be back. Clark talked about how great the experience was to be at Cooperstown when Whitey Herzog went into the Hall of Fame. Randy brought up the new monument of George Steinbrenner that the Yankees have put out in centerfield next to the likes of the Babe and Mantle and all the Yankees greats. Clark things it is great that they did this. Clark said he missed George and that the game of baseball with miss him as well. Steinbrenner did so much for baseball and so much for New York.
