Cardinals-Marlins Set For September 20th Makeup Date

Faced with a pair of unappealing choices, the Cardinals took what they felt was the lesser of two evils.

St. Louis will make up its postponed Aug. 8 against the Marlins on Sept. 20, at 3:10 p.m. ET at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. The only other possible option was Oct. 4, the day after the regular season ends. The Cardinals will play from Sept. 3 through Oct. 3 without a day off. As a result of the long stretch of consecutive games, St. Louis players had to approve the makeup date.
