Righthander Jeff Suppan threw a bullpen for pitching coaches Dave Duncan and Marty Mason this afternoon at Chase Field, and encouraged by what the saw the St. Louis Cardinals plan to finalize a deal with Suppan in the next couple days and activate the starter early next week.
