St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols said Monday that he won't be participating in this year's Home Run Derby in Anaheim as part of the All-Star Game festivities.

Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols, who topped the recent nationwide fans' balloting for players they want to see in the All-Star Game Home Run Derby, said this afternoon he didn't want to compete in this year's event to be conducted on July 12 in Anaheim before the July 13 All-Star Game to be played in Angel Stadium.
