The Cardinals came out swinging on Mother's Day plating two runs in the top of the first inning against the Arkansas Travelers. Adron Chambers led off the game with a double and Pete Kozma followed with an RBI double to score Chambers. Steven Hill would then single Kozma home to make the Springfield lead 2-0.
