The Cardinals enter arguably their most defining series of the young season by increasingly defining third baseman David Freese as part of their run-production machinery. Freese, who has batted eighth four times this season, appears in the No. 5 spot for the third time in the last week. Of course, Freese has pushed the move with a breakout that earned him NL Player of the Week honors.
