The news kept getting worse for manager Tony La Russa and the Cardinals this past weekend.
Starter Brad Penny left after three innings Friday night with a strained right lat and was placed on the disabled list Saturday afternoon. Just a few hours after that announcement became official, Kyle Lohse departed with pain in his right forearm.
