Last July 24, the tide of the St. Louis Cardinals’ 2009 season shifted at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park. In the lineup that evening were left fielder Matt Holliday, acquired that morning from Oakland, and infielder Julio Lugo, who had been added from Boston a couple days before. Both were making their first starts as Cardinals.
