By contrast, the Mets produced when it counted against Giants starter Todd Wellemeyer, who surrendered only three hits in 4 1/3 innings but walked five, threw a wild pitch and hit a batter. He walked or hit all four Mets who scored on him.

"He's his own worst enemy," said Bochy, who nevertheless plans to keep Wellemeyer in the rotation for now.
