Will Terry Pendleton Be The New Bobby Cox?

Terry Pendleton arrived in St. Louis during a golden era of Cardinals baseball. Pendleton helped lead the Cardinals to World Series appearances in 1985 and 1987 under manager Whitey Herzog, then went to the Atlanta Braves and won the National League's Most Valuable Player award in 1991 when Atlanta went from worst to first. Pendleton, 49, has been the Braves' hitting coach since 2002 and is a front-runner to replace the retiring Bobby Cox as manager at the end of this season.
