Ryan Ludwick was moved to the second spot in the Cardinals batting order beginning with the final game in Milwaukee on April 11th. The move was made to jump-start Ludwick's then-struggling bat. That goal has certainly been accomplished, because Ludwick went from a .333 OPS prior to the move to a 1.132 OPS in the games since. However, the Cardinals offense that shined in that initial road trip has sputtered since returning home to face the Astros.
