This time around, he's a known quantity compared to last year. Here's a former ace starter and World Series hero who has to make the club on a Minor League contract for two years running. His veteran presence was welcome last year in a bullpen loaded with youngsters. Weaver has Major League time with the Tigers, Yankees, Angels, Cardinals, Mariners and the Dodgers.
