QUESTION: Just a few weeks ago Cardinals’ management expressed concern about having just two players eat up almost 40 percent of the team’s payroll. But it looks like that’s exactly where they are headed with Matt Holliday’s signing and an extension coming for Albert Pujols. What do you think spurred the team to change its philosophy on this?
