Mark McGwire’s steroid confession renewed outcry over the abuse of performance-enhancing drugs in Our National Pastime. Do-gooders from all quarters -– the press box, the stands and major league clubhouses -- want the scofflaws stripped of their statistical accomplishments and banned from the Baseball Hall of Fame.
