Some may call it a fire hazard, but I call it backup: Stacked in my office, not too far from my desk, is a bushel of sports sections — actual newspapers, imagine! — that span the noteworthy and important moments from the past eight years or so. There are papers from the 2009 All-Star Game and papers from Mike Danton’s arrest. There are papers from Rick Hummel’s induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, and there is a paper or two from everyday of the St. Louis Cardinals World Series run in 2006.
