It seems that it was only a matter of time before Brad Penny became a Cardinal. An Oklahoma native, Penny had long had one eye on the possibility of pitching in St. Louis. And it's fair to say that plenty of eyes within the Cardinals organization had been on the big right-hander for quite some time.
