Our nation’s best sports broadcast journalist and the future Hall of Fame manager have had an excellent relationship for many years. But there was some tension in the room Monday night at the annual St. Louis Baseball Writers dinner as Costas spoke to the crowd and made a few quips related to Mark McGwire and steroids.
