Blaine Boyer pitches in relief for the Arizona Diamondbacks, his third team of 2009. Blaine saw his strikeout rate fall precipitously in 2009, to 4.8 from 8.4 in 2008. That’s a very bad sign for a pitcher. His great strength is his home run rate, just 14.1 per 200 innings pitched.
