Joe Strauss says the Cardinals probably need to address the problems the team has had with alcohol in the past few years. Strauss says he believes the Cardinals offered Matt Holliday a contract of 8 years between $14 to $16 million a year, which would be the largest contract ever offered to a player by the organization. If the Mets sign Holliday, the Cardinals would get their second round pick instead of a first round pick if a different team signs him.
