With Joe Torre, Bobby Cox and Lou Piniella saying they don't plan to manage after their contracts end in 2010, it makes sense for Tony La Russa to return to the Cardinals with a one-year contract or even sit out a season. In addition to the Dodgers, Braves and Cubs, the Mets job also could open within the next year.
