Third baseman Troy Glaus, still rehabilitating from his January right shoulder surgery, is speaking more optimistically than he has in a while about his progress and said he expected to play for the Cardinals this season. Glaus said his throwing arm had come around, ironically, when he had to shut down a previous rehab assignment because of a bulging disk in his back.
