Jason Marquis (Rockies):
Not to be lost in a day of duos was Jason Marquis' singular performance on the mound. The win marked the return to form for the All-Star, who threw seven innings of one-run ball and offered the Pirates little opportunity to get in the game. He struck out six, walked three and scattered three hits on the day. Marquis hadn't won since becoming the first Major Leaguer to notch 12 wins on July 19 in San Diego.
