Book Review - "Satchel - The Life and Times of an American Legend" by Larry Tye (Including an Interview with the Author)

The most interesting story I enjoyed was when Satchel about had to give up baseball 20 years earlier than he did. In 1939, he lost his ability to throw with any speed due to an unknown injury, which was possibly a torn rotator cuff. Frank "Jewbaby" Floyd, the Monarchs trainer, helped him regain his velocity by soaking his arm in cold and then hot water. Then Frank alternated cold and hot wraps and applied an ointment called "Yellow Juice".
