The Redbirds could have their new general manager in place this week.
And Global Spectrum spokesman Ike Richman confirmed Monday what sources told The Commercial Appeal last week -- that the new man in charge is Benjamin Weiss, currently the general manager of the Mullins Center, a multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Massachusetts.
