Cardinals righthander Adam Wainwright scattered eight Los Angeles Dodgers hits through six innings tonight in a game that started 1 hour 25 minutes late at Busch Stadium because of rain. Wainwright probably could have allowed four or five more, but for the spectacular play of the Cardinals’ infield, notably shortstop Brendan Ryan and second baseman Skip Schumaker.
